		<description>Writing for TV can be stressful.  In terms of how many involved it's a case of how liong is a piece of string.  When I wrote for Easteneders there were (I think) about 50 writers "on the books"  but not all were very active at that time.  Some people have been writing for Easteneders for many years.  Some write for a few years go away do something else then come back.

The thing is a new executive producer might come in and will want to make their mark. This can mean the "voice" of the show may change and that often leads to wholesale change of writers.  This is why it's good to keep your other work developing because you may be moving on, not because you aren't any good, but because the show wants to change</description>
